The upgraded D300s … The upgraded D300s is not even really that much better. in my view the D80 is still up there with D700, because it has so much detail in the middle lenses for macro work. The lens and technique is what really matters, but getting a new camera is… well no feeling like it. Also, screw the TV when you could be out living life.

Don’t be, the D300 … Don’t be, the D300 is not worth it. Buying better lenses is the wise choice. I would not have gotten the D700 if I had not known I was going to get the 14-24, and have some FX lenses already. The D90 is a great camera, because it has a really good sensor and meter.

Real/True … Real/True photographers never say that one brand is better than the other. They know the strengths and weaknesses of both Nikons and Canons. I have a Nikon and I love it. Most of my friends at my school all carry XSi’s. All they say is that Canon is the best without giving me a legitimate reason. Usually its either “canon makes a better sound” or “nikon has too many modes”. I can probably give about 5 real reasons why I picked Nikon over Canon. The same would go the other way.

Adding the battery … Adding the battery grip will make it feel so much better to shoot with. More importantly, the battery life will last much longer. Having 4 batteries will also help. The D90 is a great camera.
