obvious answer: D90 by far. However, they're coming out with the Canon t2i. You may want to check into that.
References :
Go with the D5000.

The D5000 has the same image sensor, AF, and imaging system as the D90. You only lose half a frame per second for continuous shooting and the D5000 doesn't have an in-body focus motor. But unless you are hardcore into photography (in which case you should really get a D700 or D3), you won't know the difference.

The D5000 is almost half the price. Even if you got it with a 18-105 Zoom lens it wouldn't be nearly as expensive or better yet, get a 55-200 lens for another $300 or so bux and for $100 less than the D90 you can shoot a much larger range of pictures.

I've had bad luck with Canon....
References :
Hey,

I'd pick the D90 if I had to decide.

It has 3 megapixels, but that is not a big difference. It has a better sensor so image quality is better and it has less noise than those two. It's also the fastest, with 4.5ps. They all shoot HD video at 24fps and that's a good, cinematic look (Full HD on T1i is bad, it's at 20fps).

Take a look at the link below. It talks about which DSLR to buy, what's important, what's not, megapixels and features. At the bottom, you will also see good links to Amazon for these cameras and compares DSLRs like D90 etc.
