For playback only you could use Quick Time program which is free for both PC & Mac

Yes! if you work …
Yes! if you work with Mac and have Final Cut Pro then switch to HD 720 ( PAL or NTSC ) and drop the AVI on the time line and begin editing. but the quality of video compare to Panasonic GH1 is lower unless you use some special filter. for better result use a good tripod.

I’m probably getting this camera this summer, the video quality seems fantastic, I really cant wait to get this, it seems like an amazing camera.
