Nikon D90 is a great semi-pro level camera, good enough for studio work and compatible with studio lighting accessories

yes! nikon's creative lighting is perfect studio lighting. and of course, the better the camera, the better the features, so next up for you would be d300 or full frame. but d90 should do the trick. one of the reasons why i have a nikon over a canon is nikon's creative lighting. it's perfect for lighting
