I got Nikon D90 with 18-55mm lens. What is others lens that I should have?

I am new to SLR camera and just got my new Nikon D90 with 18-55mm lens. Need suggestion to get my next lens. I wanted to shot potraits and close-up image and also my relative wedding photo soon.

It depends.

If you want to include action, sports and wildlife in your subjects, the next lens will either be the 55-200 mm to extend your reach or a 18-200 mm VR which will replace the lens you have now and add the additional extension to your cameras view in one lens

If you are into shooting landscapes, the 10-24 mm lens will be your best bet.

If you love shooting things like flowers close up, the 60 mm macro will be a good choice.

As you can see, you have to define your subjects before anyone can really suggest a "next" lens to you.

NikonD5000 VS NikonD90

I know many people are struggling about either NikonD90 to get or the NikonD5000. I’ve been there before and previously owned a D5000, but finally made my decision and ended up with a D90. However, what is the best for me might not be the best for you. In this video I will talk about the differences about these two camera bodies, and hope it will help you find out which one is the best for you.
The NikonD5000 is phenomenal. It has 12mg pixels and the same sensor as the D90. It has tilt and swivel LCD screen which I wish the D90 had, and the interval shooting mode which the D300 has. It’s lighter, and very easy to carry around. The video feature is very nice, you can watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kaQFnqpBbA to see the video I shot by D5000. So for a starter, I would recommend the D5000. If you are not going use many lenses, then who cares if it has autofocus motor built in. It’s totally worth the price.

P.s. You can always go to www.dpreview.com to the buying guide and put the cameras that you are interested in side by side to compare the cons and pros.
For the ones who are more serious about photography, the D90 allows you have more options on your lighting choices since it as CLS feature, and it has auto focus motor that allows the professionals to try out many lenses and get sharp images. If you care about the quality, sharpness of your images, then get the D90. Who cares about the interval shooting mode, you can always do it manually.

Anyway, hope you will find out what you want from taking photos and figure out which camera is the best for you. Don’t worry, you won’t stick with the same camera forever.

What’s the difference between Nikon D90 and Nikon 700?

I’m planning to buy a camera just for personal use and I’m thinking of getting a nikon,, so what’s the difference between D90 and D700?

The D90 is a crop, or aps-c sensor. The D700 is a FX "full frame" sensor.
Full Frame sensors are the same size as a 35mm film frame. Long-story short, you get a lot more in in your image with a FX sensor than with a crop sensor.

Crop sensors are 1/2 the size of full-frames. The crop sensor is 1.5, so your focal length is multiplied by 1.5.

Also, the D90 is a more plastic body, where the D700 is a magnesium alloy body. The D700 has a larger body, and is more professional, and the D90 is smaller and a consumer grade dSLR. One can control everything about the exposure from the outside of the D700, which is highly valuable. With the D90, one must muck about in the firmware in order to change certain aspects of the image.

Oh, and did I mention that the D700 is $1500 more than the D90?
