Price and Availability
The D90 will be available throughout the United States beginning September 2008 at an MSRP of $999.95 for body only and $1299.95 for body and lens outfit that includes the new AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens. I believe it has been released now or will be in the next week or so. You can order it from most all the major camera websites (B&H, Adorama, etc. Even Amazon says they have it in stock). As to available in retail stores, they probably don't order as many as the camera stores do, so they have a smaller supply. They may stock the camera, but it may sell out as soon as it reaches the store shelf.

Does the anti dust system actualy work on the Nikon D90?

I have never had to use the anti-dust feature on my D300 and I have over 35,000 shutter cycles on it.
What are you doing? Changing your lenses in a dust storm?
In my over six years of shooting with DSLR's I have only had dust problems three times .. each when I had to change lenses in windy conditions.
Bottom line? Camera features can never overcome missing pieces of the photographers skill sets. In the over thirty years of shooting, there is never a shoot where I don't learn something that further hones my skills.
