I am a beginner in digital SLR’s and am going from my Kodak P850 point and shoot to my first slr. I have money saved up, enough to get the Nikon D90 kit, but what I’m wondering is whether or not I am making the right decision. I was originally sold on the XSi until the Nikon came out with the D90. I am mainly photographing my family, hiking, etc., but I seem to use my current digital camera quite a bit to take short videos of my kidlette. Do you think that it is worth it to spend the extra money on the D90? I am really into photography and want to expand my skills, and I would like to have something that I would be able to use the lenses with other, more complex slr bodies in the future. Any help anyone can give would be great!
Canon Rebel Xsi is a good value and therre ae plenty of lenses for it.
